Teambuilding

Don’t let the overworked, overused buzzword mislead you.

Like yourself, we realize that is term is used extensively and for a wide variety of approaches. So, hopefully, this will help you understand our philosophy on building teams to see if our approach is an answer to your team building challenges:

We at eNthusaProve, by virtue of our core values and our decades of experience, believe:

  • Team building does not happen just by working together.  Riding on the same bus doesn’t necessarily make you a team.
  • Groups can do great things without really being a team, but teams tend to outperform groups.
  • Teamwork is not a replacement for competence, capability or capacity, but teamwork will leverage these to a higher potential.
  • Teamwork will enable your management team to accomplish what W. Edwards Deming claimed in every manager’s fundamental job: To create joy in work.
  • Teams won’t happen just by reorganizing or by changing titles.  Rather, team building is its own task.
  • In order to have an effective team, not just a group, there is heavy lifting that has to be done.  It’s not just a slogan, or a motto… it is a shared vision built with shared experience and shared expectations.
  • The key difference between Groups and Teams:  Team Members act for the team.   Group members act for their portion of the desired outcome.

We’ve developed these philosophies out of years of working with groups to assist in their development into teams. Our experience in developing teams includes:

  • 10+ years of Teambuilding and Organizational Development… corporate teams, inter-organizational teams, government teams, sports teams, church groups and non-profits.
  • Expert application of Myers Briggs
  • Designing and leading customized interventions on team learning, and trust building.

Our clients can expect creative techniques tailored to their specific needs and culture, yet still with a special mix of creativity to help awaken new paradigms and excite new expectations.  Our specialty is the adaptive application of knowledge sharing, roles and responsibility matrices, social network analysis, strategy development and, of course, shared vision building.  Therefore, if you have:

  • a group that you’d like to build into a team… we can help.
  • a team that has lost its cohesion, its community… we can help.
